Plantronics Usb Adapter 01 Drivers For Mac

1 Jan 2000admin

I just got off the phone with Plantronics support, who was, as always, very nice and helpful except they were not able to fix my problem. I have a BT300 I use to pair my headsets to my computer. Well, the problems all began after I plugged a second BT300 into my computer.

That's when everything went haywire. My existing BT300 will pair the device but I can't get sound through it. The second BT300 I have since given to a friend.

I can see in the Spokes software it is paired but I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it in device manager (the BT300) but what's weird is that it shows as connected before it even finishes installing the driver. It used to show, in the picture, that where is says USB Audio as Plantronics BT300.

I know it's a driver issue but aren't sure where to look or what to do. The guy from Plantronics, Joey, was most patient and tried to be helpful but didn't have any ideas outside of what I had already tried. When I plug this into a different computer with the Spokes software, etc on it, it works fine.

So I know it's an issue with my computer, not the adapter. The Plantronics support guy said you don't need the Spokes software to make the adapter work, just to monitor it and adjust settings. I'm just out of ideas.Any help is appreciated.Thanks,A.J. So I figured out what the problem was. After updating firmware on both the headset and the BT300, confirming that it worked EXACTLY as it should on another computer and telling the guy that I knew it wasn't the adapter, we uninstalled the Spokes software and I ran a registry clean with CCleaner and Eusing and then rebooted. After that, I reinstalled the software and now it works as it did originally and just as it should. So something in the Spokes software was caching settings that were supposed to be deleted after the firmware update.

Find all Plantronics support information for the Blackwire 5200 Series, including software updates, troubleshooting tips, user guides. USB-C to USB-A Adapter. Download the latest release of Plantronics Hub software to get one-touch call answer/end with these softphones. I recently purchased a Plantronics Focus bluetooth headset, although an expensive product, its worth every penny. To enhance the quality o the headset and distance of headset it is recommended to use a BT600 usb dongle (this is provided when you buy the headset). I use the headset with both my 2014 Macbook Pro as well as a Windows desktop PC.

When Audio Sensing was enabled, it worked but only as long as the audio was coming from the computer. Apparently there are two profiles.the one for the adapter and one for the headset. When Audio Sensing is on, it looks to the computer for the link instead of the headset. If you are on a call, this can be problematic.Anyways, the issue was the Spokes software. Everything is working now! Not really a solution, but we use plantronic headsets as well and there came a point when my computer would randomly reject the base. The weird thing about it is that I would steal one of my colleagues' headsets, attach it to my computer, and it would work great (until it decided to disassociate again)!

Said colleague would come back, use the headset, and it would work on their computer. One time, my base was ringing to somebody else's headset.I can't begin to tell you how many different ways we tried to fix it, including removing drivers, adding plantronics monitoring software, redoing all the voip settings, etc. And I'm sure the plantronics tech told you, as he told us, that the sets are plug and play, which would make you think you could just wipe out the driver, reconnect it, and it would work.

Unfortunately, no luck for me on that one.In the end we ended up sending it back and getting a new one. That ended up working, but the issue occured again later. In our case, we thought it to be something to do with the fact that we had 4 of them running in a small area. I'll be checking on this thread to see if something interesting comes up!

It looks like you have everything taken care of but if something ever happens and support is not able to fix the problem, please continue to post in the community or reach out to me so that I can resolve the issue:) Sorry that you had to go through all of that just to make things work properly. Thanks for posting!Sincerely,Emily.

I bought a BT300 with USB adapter, and have been using it for a couple of years now. I am setting up a second computer, and bought another. When I install it on my original computer, on which the Bt300 had already been used, I get it to pair, etc., but only Skype works with the new headset. The other software, web browser, VOIP client, etc., just don't recognize it any more.I uninstalled Spokes, and suspect I need to do a complete registry clean, but I don't see instructions on how to do this.

When I install the original BT300 on the computer, it also only works with Skype, so I'm really shut down. The software needs to be made a bit more robust - and I'd like instructions on how to clean the registry.Thanks,Charles. I'm answering my own query. Plantronics customer support don't work over the weekend, but I needed to get back on line.Uninstalling the Spokes software and rebooting is sufficient to get either one of the headsets working with the same PC. Funny spanish conversations. I had to switch the small USB dongles as well, as each headset is paired with its own USB dongle.I wonder what happens when I finally get a laptop that support Bluetooth? I'm holding out because none of the newer laptops, although no lighter, have CD/DVD-drives in them.charlesbuckley wrote:I bought a BT300 with USB adapter, and have been using it for a couple of years now. It's about the most pointless thing to have on a laptop.

If you NEED that capability, you can get USB versions plenty cheap online. Glad you got it fixed, and sorry you didn't get to enjoy Plantronics support. They really are just that good.

As far as native support, I don't see it happening anytime soon. Heck, a lot of tablets still don't have it. Kealohi wrote:I have multiple problems with the headsets.

Plantronics Voyager headsets with BT300's plugged into Polycom VVX500 phones. Also try to plug into the computer (BT300) but it does not work. I have over 30 of these and always having issues. I would like to reset EVERYTHING back to factory to see if this will help but cannot find any answers. This is so frustrating as I am always receiving tickets for troubled headsets. I wish they would just WORK!@Hi Kealohi,I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your headsets. Which model headset do you have?

I'm guessing you have Voyager Legend UC? Is that right? What exactly is the issue you're having? Is the BT300 not connecting to the headset? The more info I have, the better I can help you resolve it.Thanks!
